While in law school, Elsa worked for 3 organizations doing wage and hour law on behalf of low wage workers, the majority of who were farm workers. Elsa participated in an international and comparative law clinic in Zacatecas, Mexico, where she worked on transnational workers’ rights and assisted with a multiple-plaintiff federal wage and hour litigation brought on behalf of guest workers from Mexico. Elsa also worked as a law clerk at the federal Immigration Court in Baltimore, Maryland and interned with the Pennsylvania Immigrant Resource Center, where she provided legal assistance to the detained immigrant population at York County Prison.
